Grammar and Conversation

We offer a variety of English courses and classes.We run Grammar and Conversation Classes through out the year, Saturdays only, 9am to 1:30pm.The classes are available in several levels: Beginner, Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, Upper-Intermediate and Advanced.

Each Student is tested before joining the class. This is so that we know which level to begin teaching you at.

Grammar and Conversation

Grammar and Conversation classes or G&C are for students who would like to improve their English, but don’t have the time or budget to study full time. Classes are focused on improving students knowledge and use of English grammar, and to enhance the knowledge with speaking and listening practice.

9:00am to 13:30pm on Saturdays.

Private Lessons

Durban Language Centre offers private lessons which can be arranged to suit your daily schedule.

Business English

Business English classes are for students who have reached at least an Upper Intermediate level. No Grammar is taught, and the focus is strictly on improving the students use of English in a business context, with regard to reading, writing, and speaking.

9:00am to 13:30pm on Saturdays.

Free English English

Free English lessons are available from new teachers in training. Meet new friends and practice your English in formal online English lessons.

Durban Language Centre caters for adult learners (18+) of English from South Africa and abroad. We offer top-quality General English classes at all levels, from Beginner to Advanced level.

We also offer specialised teacher training courses. These range from introductory courses for candidates with no teaching experience to advanced in-service training for qualified teachers who want to improve and diversify their skills.

On Saturdays, we offer two different types of classes:

Business English

We run those courses for 8 weeks.

How long is the course?

The course is two months long and runs on Saturdays only. Classes start at 09:00 – 1:00 (breaks in between).

Can I study online?

All Durban Language Centre courses are done online.

Can Durban Language Centre help me get a study VISA?

Yes we can! We need your passport, start date and end date so we can issue and Invitation Letter.

How much does the course cost?

There are different prices, with free English lessons with new teachers, or private lessons with experienced teachers.

Are you registered as a Higher Institution?

Durban Language Centre is now registered with the Department of Higher Education the Services SETA and accredited by Cambridge University.
