We offer a variety of English courses and classes.We run General English Classes through out the year, from Mondays to Fridays, 9am to 1:30pm.The classes are available in several levels: Beginner, Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, Upper-Intermediate and Advanced.
Courses for your level
Different levels for differnt folks
Each Student is tested before joining the class. This is so that we know which level to begin teaching you at.
General English
General English classes are available across 6 levels, and each student is tested before joining a class. Classes are available for:
Beginner, Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, Upper-Intermediate, and Advanced levels.
Classes are from 9:00am to 13:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Business English
Business English classes are for students who have reached at least an Upper Intermediate level. No Grammar is taught, and the focus is strictly on improving the students use of English in a business context, with regard to reading, writing, and speaking.
9:00am to 13:30pm on Saturdays.
General English Intensive
General English Intensive classes are for students who would like more personalised lessons. The course is the same as the General English course, with 2 extra hours on 4 afternoons each week.
9:00am to 13:30pm, Monday to Friday
14:00pm to 16:00pm Monday to Thursday
Private Lessons
Durban Language Centre offers private lessons which can be arranged to suit your daily schedule.

Durban Language Centre caters for adult learners (18+) of English from South Africa and abroad. We offer top-quality General English classes at all levels, from Beginner to Advanced level.
We also offer specialised teacher training courses. These range from introductory courses for candidates with no teaching experience to advanced in-service training for qualified teachers who want to improve and diversify their skills.

How long is the course?
The course is two months long and runs on Saturdays only. Classes start at 09:00 – 1:00 (breaks in between).
Can I study online?
All Durban Language Centre courses are done face-to-face.
Can Durban Language Centre help me get a study VISA?
Yes we can! We need your passport, start date and end date so we can issue and Invitation Letter.
How much does the course cost?
The course costs R2 200. You also have the option of dividing the payment and pay R1 100 in the first month and the remainder in the second.
How can I apply?
You can apply using our Online Placement Test or you can come to the school and do the test.
